1. What This Website Is

Stanton Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections concerning Stanton, California. It is not a government office, court, library, records custodian, or agent of Orange County. It does not host the official records described in its links and has no authority to certify or correct them.

2. Lawful and Respectful Use

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the pages or information reached through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Locate a person who is protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, impersonation, or another offense.
  • Make a decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including a credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or similar decision.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the reference at scale.
  • Interfere with site operation, security, or another visitor’s access.

3. No Consumer Reports

Stanton Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Information on these pages and results from a linked search tool are not consumer reports. They may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Outside Links and Providers

County and state portals, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search providers maintain their own terms, privacy rules, charges, and availability. Stanton Residents Directory does not control an external result or promise that an outside service will remain online or return a particular record.

5. No Warranty

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Coverage dates, office details, portal functions, fees, links, and record content can change. No warranty is made that a page is complete, accurate, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including an action taken from a record found through them.

7. Indemnity

A visitor agrees to defend and hold harmless the operators from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from the visitor’s misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Original Content

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. A reader may link to a page and quote a short excerpt with attribution. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the collection is not permitted.

9. Changes to the Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after an update means the visitor accepts the revised wording.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited, with or without notice, when a visitor violates these terms, abuses the pages, threatens site security, or uses the reference in a harmful way.

11. California Law

These terms are governed by California law, without applying conflict-of-law principles. Requests for Stanton or Orange County records are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, as applied by the relevant custodian. Privacy requests concerning information held by a covered business may also implicate the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Civil Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.100. Those statutes do not transfer control of a government record to this private reference.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the fullest extent allowed.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a deed, case, voter file, vital certificate, tax record, or other official record must go to the named custodian.
